Springtime brings many celebrations here in Vermont, but this year the standout is the Solar Eclipse! What makes this eclipse particularly exciting is Northern Vermont will be in the Path of Totality. Meaning whether you’re at your house or in the mountains, you’re guaranteed a great view of this historic sight!

With Vermont’s abundance of mountains and open space, it is expected to be one of the most popular eclipse destinations. Many Vermont state parks are allowing access ahead of their opening day exclusively for the eclipse. Local ski areas such as Bolton Valley, Jay Peak, Smuggler’s Notch, Stowe and Sugarbush are hosting special viewing parties with food and live music. With this influx of visitors, any available rooms or camping spots are sparse and likely to completely fill up soon!
2024 marks the first time Vermont had been on the path since 1932 and won’t be on the path again until 2106. All the more reason to make this event as awesome as possible!
